New Guideline - 01.01.12 Policies, Procedures and Post Orders

The International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) announces the release of a new industry guideline developed by the IAHSS Council on Guidelines. The new guideline, 01.01.12 Policies, Procedures and Post Orders, showcases the role these documents play in the administration of the overall security master plan. 

Anjanette Hebert, Council on Guidelines member, explains that the new guideline defines each document and details how they complement each other to promote consistent performance through the uniformity of training and direction for security activities and incident response.  The guideline will assist security professionals in understanding how to create appropriate policies, procedures and post orders that align with those of the HCF and meet regulatory compliance requirements.

The IAHSS Council on Guidelines is comprised of volunteer members who are experts in the field of healthcare security and leaders in their field.  The Council continuously works to develop new guidelines based on assessed need and reviews all existing guidelines on a 3-year cycle.  IAHSS members can access guidelines electronically on the IAHSS website as a benefit of membership.  Hardcopies of the guidelines booklet are available for sale in the IAHSS online store.
