Foundation Annual Banquet and Awards Celebration

On Behalf of the Foundation Board of Directors, I am thrilled we will be together at the Tuesday evening (Nov. 9) dinner gala which is the Annual Foundation Dinner and Awards celebration at the IAHSS Annual Conference.

This will be in the ballroom of our hotel (Hilton) with an open bar cocktail reception from 6pm-7pm, followed by our dinner banquet, awards, some special surprises, and a sensational celebration. All attendees, exhibitors, and guests are strongly encouraged to attend. This event is complementary to attendees. For guests and exhibitors, you can purchase a ticket either through the IAHSS website or at the registration desk at the beginning of the conference.

This is an especially important event this year since we were not able to hold it last year. The Foundation’s mission for critical research, needed scholarships and worthy awards is more needed now than ever. This is the only event we have annually, and we really need ALL of you to join us for the festivities. Dress for the event is business attire or dressy and there will be a wonderful three course dinner and wine for all. We will be happily accepting chapter donations at the event and your chapter will be handsomely recognized. We also will have some spirited “games” with the goal of raising some needed funds for our work. There is also a very special chapter award that may be a shock to all. We will also be recognizing our beloved researcher, writer, and supporter, Robert Rusting who we lost this year with something special. We are also hopeful most of our awardees will be in person to accept these coveted awards.

Please plan on attending the event, along with the cocktail reception, Tuesday evening, Nov. 9. It is a time to see people you haven’t seen, meet new people, network, laugh, celebrate deserving people, and just have fun together. I look forward to seeing you there.

With appreciation,

Bonnie Michelman CHPA, CPP
Foundation President
