2024 Board of Directors Call for Nominations is Open

The 2024 Board of Directors Call for Nominations is now open. In accordance with the Association's bylaws and its Election policy, we are soliciting two candidates for each of the following open positions: 

• President-Elect
• Vice President/Treasurer
• Member-at-Large

IAHSS Nomination Packets must include the following completed documents: 

1. Position of Interest Document 
2. Candidate Bio and Questionnaire
3. References

Please note: Candidate interviews will take place on/near Aug. 16, 2023.

Minimum Criteria for Candidate eligibility (Source Board of Directors – Nominations and Elections)

President-Elect: Professional member in good standing three years prior to nomination and a Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA). The Candidate must have a minimum of two years experience as a Regional Chairperson, Chapter officer, Commission or Council Chair, or Board Director prior to taking office of President-Elect.

Board of Directors: Excepting the positions of President-Elect and President, whose specific terms of office are set forth in the bylaws, each person elected to the Board of Directors shall serve for a term of two years and must be a member in good standing two years prior to the nomination. Except for the Member-at-Large, candidates must have a minimum of one year experience as Regional Chair, Chapter officer, or Commission or Council member prior to taking office. All Board of Directors candidates must have a minimum of two years’ experience as a healthcare security or safety director or manager in a healthcare facility.

Nominees must submit their Nomination Packets online no later than 2pm CT on Aug. 11, 2023. Nomination Packets must be emailed to info@iahss.org.
