IAHSS 2023 Foundation Recognition Award Winners

The International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety Foundation held their Annual Celebration and Honors Gala Reception at the 2023 IAHSS 55th Annual Conference & Exhibition in Nashville, Tennessee on May 3, 2023. Awards were presented to outstanding healthcare security professionals and organizations for their exemplary contributions to the healthcare security industry.

Bonnie Michelman, IAHSS Foundation President, and Executive Director of Police, Security and Outside Services at Massachusetts General Hospital, was the host and master of ceremonies.   

 

2023 IAHSS Foundation Awards and Winners:

 

Lindberg Bell Award, presented to the institution/facility which has established and administers an outstanding healthcare security and / or safety program:

                Memorial Hermann Health System 

 

Chapter of the Year Award, presented to the IAHSS Chapter demonstrating the greatest initiative and/or innovation in promoting the healthcare security profession, as well as IAHSS:

               Connecticut

 

Valor Award, presented to an individual for a selfless or courageous act taken at the risk of their own life with awareness of the danger involved:

Merit Award, presented to a person who distinguishes himself / herself in the performance of duty by an act of personal  fortitude above and beyond the call of duty, not taken at the risk of his / her own life.

Russell L. Colling Literary Award, Presented to the person(s) who through his or her literary abilities has made a significant contribution to the healthcare security, safety and / or emergency management professions.
