Virginia Petrancosta will become CEO instead of executive director, to better reflect IAHSS strategic goals

After thoughtful consideration Virginia Petrancosta will become a CEO of IAHSS effective immediately to better reflect association’s strategic goals. This role was previously titled executive director, upon review of the responsibilities and comparison of the role with similar associations the decision was made to modernize the title to accurately reflect the responsibilities.

Under Virginia Petrancosta, MBA, CAE, who took the helm of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety in March 2020, the organization has expanded its international presence through collaborations with the International Hospital Federation (IHF), The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and National Association for Healthcare Security (NAHS).  In response, and in support of broader trends in the business, nonprofit and association management sectors, the IAHSS board unanimously approved that Petrancosta’s title will change to CEO from executive director.
