IAHSS is pleased to announce the launch of a new
Workplace Violence Prevention Certificate Program.
Under the guidance of the IAHSS Council on Education, a team of
subject matter experts created a new, comprehensive, and first-of-its-kind certificate program focused on creating, maintaining and monitoring an effective workplace violence prevention program – with healthcare security and safety leaders at the center of all multidisciplinary efforts.
This course was specifically developed for healthcare security leaders. It will give leaders the knowledge, tools and support to lead, develop, manage, maintain and evaluate a workplace violence prevention program.
During this 2-day live interactive course, learners will:
- Understand the goals, objectives, priorities and critical elements of a compliant and successful healthcare workplace violence prevention program.
- Build strategies for using data and worksite analysis to inform decision making, increase leadership and stakeholder engagement, and continuously improve an evolving program.
- Prepare the healthcare workforce to prevent, respond to, intervene, and recover from acts of violence; with an emphasis on training and building short, intermediate, and long-term protections against harm.
The program is available Jan. 18-19, 2022 and Feb. 15-16, 2022.
