Message from IAHSS President and Board

As healthcare security professionals, we are facing some significant challenges as a community. Know that we are here as a board; and as fellow members to support each other as we navigate these challenges. Do not hesitate to engage with a board member during this difficult time. We may not have all the answers, but we can offer support and a listening ear. 

IAHSS leadership established the IAHSS Code of Ethics and dedicated ourselves to providing a safe and secure environment to all people and institutions we serve. We also pledge to conduct ourselves in a positive and constructive manner, and will use truth, fairness, and integrity to guide all our professional decisions and relationships. Within that Code of Ethics we also pledged to respect the moral and constitutional rights of all persons while performing our duties without prejudice. 

IAHSS is dedicated to creating an environment that embraces and appreciates diversity. This includes valuing the cultural, ethnic, gender, and all other individual differences in all people by fostering an environment of learning about, educating, valuing, encouraging, supporting and appreciating those things that make us unique. We also stand in support of fair treatment and equality of opportunity for all. 

We are facing unprecedented and challenging times and want to assure you we will continue to come together and stand for justice, acceptance, understanding and support our members during this time.
