Please welcome Virginia Petrancosta, MBA, CAE as the new Executive Director of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS). She started her new career at IAHSS on Mon. March 16, 2020. Interim Executive Director, Marilyn Hollier, CHPA will be staying on staff through the IAHSS annual conference in May to assist with Virginia's orientation and transition.
Virginia Petrancosta, MBA, CAE, is a collaborative and engaging leader with a proven track record of increasing revenues and profitability. With 20 years of experience as a leader in association management, Virginia's strategic skills have guided teams and Boards to success.
Most recently, Virginia was Director, Marketing and Communications at the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) of the American Hospital Association. In her role, Virginia built and led a high-performing team, launched new and innovative programs and exceeded revenue goals. In addition to her experience in health care, Virginia held leadership roles at the Chartered Financial Analyst Society Chicago, the National Restaurant Association and the United States Bowling Congress.
Passionate about education, Virginia recently served as a Curriculum Developer and Subject Matter Expert for National Louis University and developed a new Non-Profit Marketing Course. Virginia holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her bachelor's degree from St. Xavier University. Virginia also holds the prestigious Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential from the CAE Commission of American Society of Association Executives, the Center for Association Leadership.
Virginia is very excited about her new Executive Director position and is looking forward to leading IAHSS into the future of healthcare security.
