The Homeland Security Information Network has just released, dated February 8, 2017, an unclassified intelligence brief addressing a recent trend in the Islamic State’s (ISIS) campaign of terror. Media outlets sympathetic to the cause of the Islamic State (ISIS) have called for attacks on infrastructure in both the United States and the rest of the western world. Extremist linked media have also emphasized to viewers that hospitals and healthcare institutions are especially appealing targets for attack due to security limitations. While no viable threats have surfaced to intelligence officials, vigilance must be stressed. For more information regarding this threat, please review this document
