D'Angelo is Board Certified and Independent Security Consultant. He has been in the public safety and private security industries for over 30 years. Before starting his consulting practice, Michael worked in healthcare security management for almost a decade with one of the largest hospital systems in the Southeast United States. Originally, Michael transitioned into security management after a progressive and successful career in law enforcement. He is a retired Captain from the South Miami Florida Police Department, where he served for 23 years. Andre Simons, Control Risks, Director, Crisis Response Consulting Former Chief of the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit where he supervised Threat Assessment and Cyber units. Andre focuses on the assessment of concerning communications, active assailant prevention, and threat management. Andrea is a coauthor of the 2018 FBI report "A Study of the Pre-Attack Behaviors of Active Shooters" and is an ATAP Certified Threat Manager. Andre holds a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and was a police officer and member of the Crisis Intervention Team with the Portland Police Bureau.
