The healthcare profession has become the most dangerous environment with regard to workplace violence. In 2021, information was uncovered that led investigators to believe that a patient had purchased a handgun with the intent to kill a physician. This presentation takes you through the parallel journey of the investigators and the victim, each with unique yet similar frustrations, emotional impacts
and identified gaps in the process.
