Call for Submissions for IAHSS Foundation Recognition Awards

The IAHSS Foundation is accepting submissions for the IAHSS Foundation Recognition Awards.  The deadline for submissions is Jan 31, 2025.

The general purpose of the IAHSS Foundation Recognition Program is to recognize and promote overall excellence and outstanding contributions to the IAHSS Foundation, the IAHSS and to the field of healthcare security, safety and emergency management.

• Russell L. Colling Literary Award - Presented to the person(s) who through his or her literary abilities, has made a significant contribution to the healthcare security, safety and / or emergency management professions.
  
  
• Chapter of the Year Award - Presented to the IAHSS Chapter showing the greatest initiative and / or innovation in promoting the healthcare security and safety profession, as well as IAHSS.
  
  
• Valor Award - Presented to a person for a selfless and / or courageous act taken at risk of their own life with full awareness of the danger involved.
  
  
• Merit Award - Presented to a person who distinguishes himself / herself in the performance of duty by an act of personal fortitude above and beyond the call of duty, not taken at the risk of his / her own life.
  
  
• Distinction Award - Presented to a person who has made a significant and lasting contribution to IAHSS and/or healthcare security profession.
  
  
• Lindberg Bell Program of Excellence Award - Presented to the facility demonstrating an outstanding healthcare security and / or safety program.
  
  
• Research and Innovation Award - Presented to a person who has distinguished himself / herself throughout a fulfilled professional career devoted to the furtherance of the purpose and aims of the IAHSS Foundation and IAHSS and to the advancement of healthcare security.
  
  
• Connie Packard Humanitarian Award - Presented to a person who has demonstrated a passionate desire to serve and support the community; both inside the healthcare security and safety industry but also their local community.
