Professional Member

Professional membership is ONLY available to individuals working in a healthcare facility who have management and / or supervisory responsibilities in security, safety or emergency management. (May be either contract or proprietary)
CHPA’s in good standing may hold Professional membership status regardless of employment status.  

Professional members are granted the following privileges:

• full voting privileges, 
• all electronic materials and IAHSS member website access
• printed and mailed association materials (i.e. Journal for Healthcare Protection Management)
  may stand for local/chapter election, providing otherwise eligible
  may stand for International Board of Directors election, providing otherwise eligible
  may hold volunteer positions, if eligible and approved

Examples:  Hospital Security Director/Manager/Supervisor

Annual dues: $150.00 US dollars                      
  

Partner Member

Partner membership is available to individuals who are engaged in the selling or providing of security and safety products, equipment or services.

Partner members are granted the following privileges:

• voting privileges, 
• printed and mailed association materials (i.e. Journal for Healthcare Protection Management) 
• all electronic materials and IAHSS member website access
• may stand for local/chapter election, providing otherwise eligible
• may hold some volunteer positions, if eligible and approved

Partner members do NOT have the following privileges:

• standing for International Board of Directors election

Examples: consultant, product developer, business development manager, law enforcement personnel.
Annual dues: $175.00 US dollars

Associate Member

Associate membership is ONLY available to individuals who work in a healthcare facility in security, safety or emergency management and do NOT have management and /or supervisory responsibilities. (May be either contract employees or proprietary)

Associate members are granted the following privileges:

• all electronic materials and IAHSS member website access
• may stand for local/chapter election, providing otherwise eligible
• may hold some volunteer positions, if eligible and approved

Associate members do NOT have the following privileges:

• voting privileges,
• printed and mailed association materials (i.e. Journal for Healthcare Protection Management), unless purchased separately
• standing for International Board of Directors election

Example: Hospital Security Officer
Annual dues $50.00 US dollars

Healthcare Stakeholder Member

Healthcare Stakeholder membership is available to individuals working in a healthcare facility who do not have responsibilities in security, safety or emergency management.

Healthcare Stakeholder members are granted the following privileges:

• all electronic materials and IAHSS member website access
• may stand for local/chapter election, providing otherwise eligible
• may hold some volunteer positions, if eligible and approved

Healthcare Stakeholder members do NOT have the following privileges:

• voting privileges,
• printed and mailed association materials (i.e. Journal for Healthcare Protection Management), unless purchased separately
• standing for International Board of Directors election

Examples: emergency department doctors and nurses, healthcare risk management professionals

Annual dues $100.00 US dollars

Professional Member- Emerging Market (optional)

Available to individuals living in countries classified as upper-middle, lower-middle, or low income by the World Bank. Professional membership is ONLY available to individuals working in a healthcare facility who have management and/or supervisory responsibilities in security, safety or emergency management. (May be either contract or proprietary) CHPA's in good standing may hold Professional membership status regardless of employment status.

Professional members- Emerging Markets are granted the following privileges:

• full voting privileges,
• all electronic materials and IAHSS member website access
• may stand for local/chapter election, providing otherwise eligible
• may stand for International Board of Directors election, providing otherwise eligible
• may hold volunteer positions, if eligible and approved

Annual dues: $75 US dollars
