Training Description:  The Maryland Chapter of the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS-MD), in partnership with Niagara University’s First Responder Disability Awareness Training (NU FRDAT), is pleased to offer a FREE training for security and law enforcement officers. This course will educate and sensitize officers on how to properly respond to individuals with disabilities within the community. The course will be led by David Whalen, founder of Disability Awareness Training. David has presented to over 500 audiences and specializes in training law enforcement, emergency responders, human service providers, and others, on how to appropriately interact with individuals with disabilities.
