The basic, advanced, and supervisor certification exams are all based on the appropriate manuals and study guides developed and offered by IAHSS. These books are periodically revised and using the most current edition is essential to successfully passing the exams. Starting with the Basic Manual, individuals may progress to each succeeding level whenever they feel ready. Since personal experience can vary widely among institutions, relying on each manual for the knowledge and skills is essential to successfully earning certification.
